Local Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Parabolic Interface Problems
Tipo de evento: Seminário LNCC
In this talk, I shall firstly introduce our institute (Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics IAPCM). Then I shall give the so-called minimal dissipation local discontinuous Galerkin method for solving the parabolic interface problems. The interfaces are of arbitrary shape but are smooth. We prove that the proposed method is L^2 stable and the error estimate of linear Galerkin methods in the energy norm is of order O(h^2) for 1D and O(h|log h|^1/2) for 2D respectively. Numerical experiments are given to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the method.
